iPhone photos finally go through

A photo taken on an iPhone is saved as HEIC, a format no browser can display. Until now TAYO.pro simply turned them away: you had to reopen the photo in Preview or Photos and export it as JPEG before you could send it.

Drop your photos as they are

.heic and .heif files are now accepted everywhere a photo already was: message attachments, the photos of your work and the logo on your STAR profile, quotes and invoices, and the screenshots you send with feedback.

The conversion to JPEG happens on your own device, the moment you pick the file — you see the preview straight away, and the photo goes out in a format your clients can open, whatever phone or browser they are on.

Photos are resized along the way too, which brings them under the size limits without you having to think about it.

Bug fixes

  • A profile photo chosen from a computer was not saved correctly.
  • Some files over the size limit could still be attached to a message.
  • A file the app cannot display showed up as an empty slot that could not be removed; it now appears with the icon for its file type.

Name your files as you drop them into the Drive

Dropping ten site photos into the Drive used to mean ten imports followed by ten renames. This version fixes that, and makes the Drive card far easier to read along the way.

Rename on import, in one pass

When you add files to the Drive, each one now gets its own row with a name field already filled in. Fix what needs fixing, save, and the files arrive under the right name.

The extension (.pdf, .jpg…) sits beside the field but cannot be edited — there is no way to break a file by renaming it.

Each row also lets you open the file full screen to check it is the right one before saving, or drop it from the import.

Drag straight onto the card

On a computer you can drag your files onto the Drive card itself. The import panel opens already filled in, with a name field per dropped file.

A Drive card you can read at a glance

  • Every file shows its size and date, without opening the info sheet.

  • Clicking a row opens the file preview.

  • Download moved into each file’s menu.

  • Files are listed from the most recently imported to the oldest. Renaming a file does not move it in the list.

  • Used space now comes with a progress bar that turns red as the project approaches its limit.

Bug fixes

  • Downloading a Drive file from a phone saved it under an unreadable name instead of the name shown.

Until now, finding out how to do something meant writing to us. This release brings the documentation to where the question comes up.

Documentation, inside the app

A book icon now sits beside the screens and settings that deserve an explanation. It opens the matching page in a side panel, without taking you away from what you were doing.

The Support menu and Settings → Documentation open the full documentation, which also lives on a site of its own.

Release notes, without going to look for them

A What’s new card appears in the navigation menu when a release brings something, and goes away once you have read it.

Under Settings, tapping the version number shows what your build contains.

Improvements

Clearer complementary quotes

The app now explains when a complementary quote is possible and when it is not — after a quote has been sent, after one has been accepted — instead of simply greying the button out.

You can also create a complementary quote or invoice in one click from a work order, prefilled with the client, the site and the details.

Bug fixes

  • Sign-in and registration: password managers, iCloud included, fill in the e-mail and password correctly again.
  • Plan-restricted screens no longer reset while you are filling in a form.

Accepted invoices marked paid automatically

New module: as soon as your client accepts an invoice, it moves to paid (unverified) on its own. All that is left is confirming the payment once the money has arrived.

Your clients' evaluations

When a job is finished, your client can leave an evaluation. Those ratings are now gathered in the Evaluations screen, with filters and sorting by date or by rating.

Your Star profile

Your company now has a public shopfront: its Star profile. It reuses your Identity — trades, service area, certificates — and makes it visible in the Tayo directory, so new clients can find you.

The profile stays private until you publish it.

Send a document to the client from the project, without going through a quote or an invoice.

The e-mails your clients receive were rebuilt, and the document is attached as a PDF.

Correcting a quote or an invoice

A document that went out with a mistake can be corrected, without starting over.

The amount actually awarded now appears on the quote.

When Tayo refuses a send, the app explains why instead of failing silently.

Quotes with variants

All plans. Offer several options in a single quote — a budget version, a premium one, a technical alternative. No need to build three quotes, and your client chooses in one place. Even after sending, the quote stays editable.

Orders imported from Tayo keep their real creation date

Orders coming from Tayo now show the date they were created, not the date they were imported. To update older ones, go to Settings → Integrations and press “resynchronise data”.

A search you can finally tune

Choose how results are sorted — creation date, send date, deadline — and narrow them with the new filters. Most useful if you run a lot of projects, quotes or clients.

The Feedback Center, in the app

An idea, an irritation? From TAYO.pro you can propose a feature, report a bug or suggest an integration. You can also vote and comment on other people’s ideas, and you get the follow-up by e-mail once you take part.

Tayo messages gathered in the project

In the Messages tab you now see the messages of the main operation, plus those of associated tickets and linked operations from Tayo.

Projects outside Tayo can be edited

Projects created outside Tayo now behave like any other. More room to move, your private clients included.

Your contact details, visible to your clients

Your company’s contact details — the ones on your Identity — are now visible to your clients on shared projects, so they can reach you directly.

Turning the tags and site modules off

You can switch off the “tags” and “intervention sites” modules if you do not use them, from the company settings.

New notifications for your certificates

Get an alert as soon as a certificate on your Identity is close to expiring — two weeks ahead — or has expired. By e-mail, in the app, or both. Enough to plan your renewals.

Projects outside Tayo, with your own clients

PLUS plan required — beta.

You can now create and run projects with your own clients, even when they do not go through a property manager using Tayo. Quotes, interventions and invoices are all handled inside TAYO.pro, and your clients get a simpler view of it.

Client access levels

Every client can have an access level that decides how they deal with your projects and documents.

  • Portal access — for regular clients and property managers running several projects.

  • E-mail access — to work with an occasional client, with no sign-up.

  • No access — when the client uses an application TAYO.pro does not support.

Passwordless sign-in

Passwords are a nuisance, especially on a shared account. On the sign-in page, choose passwordless sign-in, enter your e-mail address, then follow the link you receive. You are in.

Spontaneous quotes and invoices

You asked for it: send spontaneous quotes and invoices straight from TAYO.pro. On the projects dashboard, the + button at the top right opens the form — pick the document type, fill in the details, send.

Share your identity with clients, even without Tayo

Your clients can look up your administrative details, certifications and insurance online, with no integration. Add or import your private clients, then use Share identity from the Clients screen. Access can be revoked at any time.

See the identities shared with you

Working with partners or subcontractors, it helps to check their certifications and commercial-register entry. The identity-sharing page lists the companies that have shared theirs with you.

The PLUS plan arrives in beta

The PLUS plan is available in beta, at a discount. The free plan is called “TAYO”; PLUS adds message templates, client and contact management, CSV import/export, and identity sharing with your clients.
